Error code I am getting an E1 error code and don't know what it means? Any help would be appreciated. I get the E1 error code in the temp display as soon as plug in my model HWR 10XC6, 10,000 btu window A/C unit. I tried the reset button but that was of no help.

I am having the same problem. I just picked up my Hair portable ac yesterday and when I plugged it in the very first time it was not working. The display screen just reads E1. I pushed every button on the thing and the remote nothing happens. I unplug it and plug it back it it just beeps a couple of times and still nothing. I am very unhappy about this product issue...I ordered it from wal mart website and was shipped to the sotre, so after waiting a few weeks for it to be shipped and having to drive to the store to pick it up and drag it home and having to struggle to get t in the house and unpacked and hooking it up and cleaning the mess the stupid thing is not working now I am going to have to waste more gas and more time to return the stupid thing. I would not recomend or purchase another Haier America product again. I am having the same problem.
