Fuser Thermistor or Halogen lamp defective. maybe you need to replace the whole Fuser

replace the adaptor and then check.

This is what is written in my service manual for Error Code A6:

Error code 6A
Print Unable 6A
Turn the power off and then back on again.
Fuser unit failure (The side thermistor does not detect 60degreesC within the specified time.)

So what is the question as these are just machine codes from what?

I argued on the phone with a BROTHER REP. that he should give the codes and directions to reset the machine, he refused time and time again, saying that this means physical damage to the machine an re-setting it is impossible to help, but i insisted, and it did fix the problem and the error went away.
here is what you should do, unplug for 10 sec. press and hold on the menu key while you plug it back in untill you see the screen "parameter init" press 99 and wait, this is what i did and it fixed the problem !!
