My sony tv has sound when you turn it on but no picture. We have unplugged the tv waited and the picture would finally come up. We called sony support and all they told us is to unplug. this morning when i got up the sound was there no picture but after cutting the tv off several times the picture appeared. now to come back home and have the same thing happen. after cont cutting off and on the picture will appear the sound is fine. the red light does not blink after the tv picture appears. when you first cut the tv on it blinks then. please help??? after the picture appears i have cut the tv off and on and the picture comes on its when you cut the tv off for a period of time there is no picture but we have sound.
The TV is about a year and a half old. Turned it on and after a short time I heard a loud pop and then the picture went. When I turned it back on the picture is hard to see and is dark and has no color. The sound is fine.
I had this plasma tv for 3 years...last night turn it off and went to bed. This morning, turn it on but nothing appeared...only sound.. help....
Could be the capacitors in the lcd tvs. check badcaps website alot of those are easy to fix.
No your bulb might be good still but there is a sanyo integrated circuit that controls the video feed. I have found a web site for replacement parts here it is www.acme-sales.net/tvparts.htm . I hope thats you promblem. IT was my promblem

Trash it, the same thing happen to me and the money hungry repair man was asking for 700-800 to fix it. I paid 1100 for it. Now I'm a proud owner of a LCD TV

try connecting tv to cable direct also try unplugging both converter and tv for wile like 5 mins plug both back in see if tv and converter sync

I have a Samsung wall mounted plasma screen TV (42"). The picture went off leaving only the sound. When I turned the TV off then on. (several times over 2 days), I never get a picture. The red light at the bottom on the bottom right side of the screen does not come on. The sound is fine! Can this be fixed or is the TV trash.

TV has sound/w no picture. Let it stay on for 45 to 60 minutes and turn it off I have a picture. Some times the picture is green, red or blue. Turn the TV of and on again the picture is fine. Sometimes the TV has no sound or picture but 3 flashing lights. Turn it off and on many times there will be sound and no picture and the process is repeated. Any solutions? The TV is about 8 years old.
