When we turn the tv on a few minutes later it cuts off and the green power light blinks for a few minutes then the tv cuts on by itself. It keeps turning on and off but the green light just keeps blinking. Someone please help. TV does the same thing. Sometimes. Turn it on and after a few min. it turns itself off. The green light flashes when it turns off. 30 sec. later it comes back on, after a few min it turns back off, --keeps repeating-- I turn my tv on, it stays on for a couple of seconds then shuts off then the red light starts flashing.
If your set was manufactured around July 2005, you may need a firmware upgrade to solve this issue. On the Sony website you can enter your model # and serial # to see if you TV is affected. If so, it is easy to have done and may be free from Sony. It sounds like the issue they described in the writeup on the required formware update. I had mine done within few months of when i bought it (purchased in Dec 2005) and it has been working flawlessly since.

Starts to blink 30 seconds after turning off TV. TV can be turned
on before blinking starts or after blinking stops, but not while the

I have the same exact problem and Tweeter is telling me I have a power supply problem along with a possible error w/ light engine. Did you find a different solution to this problem? If so, please advise.

MY TV TURNS OFF AFTER 5 MINUTES OF BEING ON...CAN U TELL ME WHY THAT COULD BE PLEASE.
After being on for a few minutes the TV will turn off with a click and back on immediately or turns off and back on after several mminutes. And recycles like this indefinately.
TV will shut off for a few seconds and then turn back on by itself. It happens about every 20 minutes
my sony doing exact same thing any luck with that problem?
