If your phone comes up with the message java not supported, then it means the application, game or file you are trying to open is java supported. And the phone cannot open java files and application. I will advice you try out other types of applications software on the phone, this time it will open, or you can read the manual to know the type of software the phone works with.

Couldn't down load games. What do you mean by unsupported type?
If your phone doesn't support java then you can't play games on it. the chinese mobiles doesn't support java if you have a chinese phone or a local company phone then you can't play games on it. the java games are of .jar format try to download games in this format if your mobiles says unsupported format then your mobile is not a l java supported phone.c

Hello, I had the same issue, I found this article http://support.encore.com/technicalsupport/kb.aspx?kb_id=1250&product_id=2643 It pretty much says that your regional setting is not set to English United States. Changing that will resolve the issue. Under Control Panel > Regional Settings.

Your phone supports Java Configuration . It can support archive files. But if your phone doesn't support .zip files, then try java archives files like .jar(java archive) , .jad(java application descriptors) or .jnlp(java network launch protocol).
These are all executable in your mobile & you can browse & download ur mobile widgets or applications with these extensions. These are also lighter versions and easy to install.

I'm sorry to say that that guy is wrong because the CECT i9 does have java depending on who you purchase it from. If you want proof go on youtube and look at some videos of people actually downloading java games to their phone.
