I have a brand new Dell Inspiron 1525 with Blu Ray / DVD combo. It will not play Blu Ray. Error Code 0122. Dell could not fix it and said the would send me the proper software. All they did was send me another copy of Roxio 10.2, which I already had installed and I don't believe has anything to do with the problem. Does anyone know what I should do to fix this?

Hy guys

I had this problem earlier on today and after much searching found a solution that worked for me.

This error message relates to piracy issues. If you are running 2 screens at once (laptop monitor and HD TV) I guess it's seen as an easy way to pirate DVD's, Blu-rays etc.

Go into your graphics card settings (i think I did this in the end by adusting screen resolution (was hungover, there's probably a quicker way - this gave me access to my ATI graphics card settings). you should be given an option of taking your HD TV as the primary monitor and disabling the built in monitor.

This should resolve the conflict that caused the 0122 error message - there are no longer 2 monitors, I guess making it harder for the pirates to comoplete their dastardly deeds - aaaarrrr.

I hope this helps some peeps out - thought I'd return the favour for my own various questions.

I have the same on my acer laptop. Acer suggest holding down the Fn key and pressing F5 until the display is on the external source only. It works

If I get the BluRay error code 0122 I, unplug the HDMI cable from my computer, remove the BluRay disk from the computer's BluRay player, reboot, Insert HDMI cable, turn on my television display as second monitor, insert BluRay disk and start the disk using Power DVD on the television display. The second display is, of course, HDMI approved.
