I have an issue using Asus HS-1000W with my wireless lan. Whenever I have a conversation or even hearing music (meaning the headset is active) my network is spiking or at best having huge latency issues. In order to somehow fix this problem I changed the LAN channel from the default '6' to '9' but still happens the same.

Right, I assume you have an Android cell/mobile phone? If so take a look at the APP Google shop store for "Wifi Analyzer". This shows all the 2G or the 5G Wifi signals around you and best of all it is FREE ;-) Now you can see where all the traffic is and choose a less busy channel.
Another point to remember is to place the network Wifi hub in the open, on "show" if you understand. If you can see it the Wifi is as best as you can get.

You can download the LAN drivers from here
ASUS LAN

Under the general download (on the right) from the drop down menu select the following:

Click on the search button. You'll get a prompt to select your operating system.
