I keep getting a program loading itself on my toshiba called av somthing or other...it totally locks up everything. After pulling my bat a few times to shut thing off, I managed to get it to stop long enough to get in here. So here i am. I run windows xp and have the oh so very wonderful program mcafee :(. I cannot load other programs like windows defender since it always encounters probs. The problem came with Java. trying to go from page to page doing some normal surfing I got this message that Java needed to load or update and that flaged for 3 trojins. I do not have those names anymore. I have tried doing system restore several times but that does not help. I have deleted and reinstalled java now but I still get a lot of stuff going on. so far mcafee has not found anything. If anyone can help me or point me in the direction of a better spyware/virus scanner I'd be very happy. thanks. if ya want some other info let me know and i will try and help you help me the best way i can thanks.
