I bought a Compaq Computer, 2.0Ghz, 256MB, 20GB for my College project. When i put the power on, it restarts almost immediately (so many times repeatedly). Then after such reboots, it successfully brings a message "1801 - Microcode Patch Error" and a F1-Boot directive. Pressing F1 boots properly. until next boot... the same problem. SOS

I upgraded the CPU in my Deskpro D510 to the fastest processor the model will take. After the upgrade, I got the 1801 microcode error. Downloading the newest BIOS from HP/Compaq solved the problem for me.

when i start my compaq computer, 266GHZ the message i recieve is invalid microcode patch,i should contact compaq. PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM
