I'm sure it can be. Just ask the manufacturer/shop how you can get it replaced. If you can prove the crack happened because of a fault on their part they should replace it for free otherwise be prepared to pay a decent amount of money.

p.s. You don't have to shout.

I have a kenmore coldspot model 106.53532300 and the water will not dispense from the door the icemaker is working just can't get water from the door...really miss it! Can anyone tell me what to do?!...

Hello Ray;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Ok, It may have been the water bottle. But, you have an old unit.
So, lets check it out once more.

1.) After time, from the heat, the plastic tubing for both your water lines to the water dispenser and ice maker will dry rot and crack.
Check: Pull your unit out. Have someone draw a glass of water from the water dispenser, while observing in the back both the water supply valve and the larger plastic tubing going to the water dispenser. Is there a leak when pressurized?
2.) Wait for when your ice maker fills and observe the smaller plastic tubing. Does it leak under pressure.
kenmore-coldspot-model-106-53532300-q5zw2lslmquh13tixvlr3ryr-3-0.jpg Part Number: Substitution: 4387492 Cost: $10.00

3.) Drain Pan - This too will crack over time do to heat. Pull your unit out so you can get behind it. Remove the lower back cover.. There are about 8 screws easily removed. Observe the drain tube from the under body of your refrigerator and the black drain pan where it empties. Observe around the drain pan. Are there and brown or dark stains on the floor? If so, then you have a cracked drain pan.
Repair: Unplug the refrigerator. The compressor and surrounding copper tubing prevent you from replacing the pan. When I was in the field, I would take duct tape and seal the cracked area. Then, I would cover the duct tape and surrounding area with a high temp silicone adhesive.

Hp slate plus 4200ca plus broken screen wont power up

Hi Big Rig,
The HP Slate tablet is a pretty small device and any damage to it can have great impact. With the slate if the screen is cracked the capacitive touch component of it will likely malfunction and send an error back to the device causing it to stop working.

You mention the device was dropped near the power button so the issue could consist of a few things such as;

The Main Circuit Board is cracked/damaged which means any repair is pretty much going to cost you more than the device is worth as its glued together and you'd be looking at replacing various parts.

The control element (circuit board) to which the power button and volume buttons are connected is damaged and may need replacing.

The tablet screen being damaged could also be an issue for the device starting up but like i said at a cost of around 160 for the device you may find that the repair cost far outweighs the purchase cost (if repaired it depends on the parts and unless you are okay with cutting into the gaskets and lifting the screen and replacing a circuit board then you'd have to hire someone...)

I hope this helped at all

Lg phone screen cracked but when you look it closely it doesn't have crack lines. crack lines only appears when it is turned on and not present when the phone is turned off why am i suppose to do?

The glass of the lcd screen is not cracked, but internally the display is'nt working perfect, few lines are not displayed on the screen which makes us to assume that the screen is cracked which is not the case, you need to replace the display, it its one or two lines you can use the same display screen, their won't be any damage to your phone due to non display of few lines.

Screen is blank/ w. small horizontal lines going across it

It sounds as though you may have cracked you screen or damaged the LCD cable. This can be hard to tell because many new phones have an outer screen that does not crack when the inner one does.

Screen has an "LCD" leak apparently.

The LCD is not cracked, however either the ribbon cable attaching it to the mainboard or the mainboard itself is cracked or the phone has a bad processor.
If the phone is under warranty, get it replaced.
If it is not, you may be able to open it (depending on what kind of tools you have).
Check all cables and boards for damage, seat all connectors firmly, and re-assemble.
If it is a smart phone, you can get replacement parts if needed.  If it is not, your parts options are limited.
