dish network remotes are universal, you can program your receiver, vcr/dvd, telivision and stereo to most remotes. if you need info on this just post again, otherwise i would list your issue under the remote brand

i called sceptere and they claim that you should shut everything off for 30 min, take the batteries out of your remote to restart everything. Then input sony code(s) to get it right . If not they are charging $50-$75 bucks for a new remote
