My computer has Vista. I need java to run another program. When I donloan and install java...java says it's there. The program that needs java says...java is not installed.
suggestions?
The program needing java is Powerteacher (Pearson/ Pearson School Systems)
Please make sure even if java installed you need to set the environment variable for class path so that you can run java anywhere.
Id suggest that you uninstall java and delete the folder from the hard drive after you uninstall it from the computer, and then clean the registry of any instances of old keys associated to java,then redownload and reinstall java fresh,be sure its the right version for your Vista ( home,Bussniess) Hope this Helps Steve
