We moved the TV and now the picture does not come up. the standby light keeps blinking. We did not drop the tv, and did not jar it at all. The sound works fine. Any suggestions? I have a Prima. Similar problem: About 3 weeks ago the picture just went black. I turn it off and on and the picture returned. I had to do this about 5 times in the past 3 weeks until last night, when turning the tv off and on did not work. Now when I turn it on, the "Prima" logo which normally comes on when I first turn on the tv, flashes across the screen for a split second and then everything turns black. I have tried many time now and still no picture. I have plugged everything out from the back, including power cord, then only plugged back in cable and power cord...but still nothing. We called sony support and all they told us is to unplug. this morning when i got up the sound was there no picture but after cutting the tv off several times the picture appeared. now to come back home and have the same thing happen. after cont cutting off and on the picture will appear the sound is fine. the red light does not blink after the tv picture appears. when you first cut the tv on it blinks then. please help??? after the picture appears i have cut the tv off and on and the picture comes on its when you cut the tv off for a period of time there is no picture but we have sound. I'm having the same problem with my 32". No picture and the power light just continues to blink. So it does not appear to correspond to any of the diagnostic codes. I have a Sony TV that is around 11 years old. Also when you turn the TV on you get perfect sound but no picture at all. After about half an hour the picture then comes up and is fine. But if you turn it off, you then have to wait the half hour again ! This has only started recently, but initially you only had to wait a few minutes so it's getting worse. I have a similar one, mine's a 32". Sam thing, no picture, but sound. It does display the channel and voume info. I can get a picture only if I grab the top of the tv and pull, with quite a bit of force, but it immediately goes away when I let up. I have a similar one, mine's a 32". Sony large 52 or so inch floor model picture in a picture, times 9.

We have the same problem,no picture, yes sound,
