WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL. http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even something as small as a faulty electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems computers need all power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error Check your RAM. The RAM is located in the middle of the motherboard. There are tabs that you can push to release the RAM. Remove it and put it back in place until the tabs pop out. Loose RAM can cause your computer not to start properly where you want to see a video signal.

Make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free Restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard Check the vga lead for secure dust free connection or try another vga lead.

Testimonial: "Hi, thanks for that. I did a check and the 40 pin flat ribbon was very kinked. There was dust everywhere as well. Cleaned it all up and unkinked the ribbon and the PC is now working!! Again, many thanks. "

SOURCE: I have a HP dc7600 SFF. Tried to Install 2 graphics cards no vid

The dc7600 SFF only comes equipped with a 240 watt power supply. I think this may be causing your problems.

I am currently looking for a graphics card for the same comp with the HIS ATI HD 4350 in mind, but the website states that a 300 watt power supply is recommended.

SOURCE: sound problem

This is fairly common after installing new hardware or software.

There are several easy fixes, but the one that works best is to:

Uninstall your Sound devices, reboot, and your system will automatically reload them either from your System drivers or from the Internet/Microsoft.

There are many other simple ways, but this has the highest positive results and usually removes problems and reverts back to the working defaults.

SOURCE: Could I use 2 monitors on a HP Compaq D530 if I

You can buy any card that meets your specs of your computer. Make sure it has duel output on the video card itself. If you plan on running two monitors you should pick up a minimum 256 card that does not pull from your system ram.
