I tried to turn on my LG 42 LCD with the 160 g hard drive about 2 years old and the green light blinks a few times the screen dose not turn on I have no functions remote or on the TV . I have unplugged it hoping it would reset but no luck . any ideas new tv 42pc3d could never get remote to work but tv worked great for 2 weeks. while watching tv it turned off on its own. pushed power button on side of tv and green light blinks a few times and then turns red. i unplugged tv and it came on for a few seconds and turned off again. every time i unplug it and then plug it back in it makes a clicking noise and back to red light
Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

This is probably bad capacitors on the power supply board. My LG 42LB1DR has a known problem with this and I replaced the four bac capacitors myself and saved 5-6 hundered dollars that I was also told that it would cost to fix. I fixed for under 10 dollars and about 20 minutes. LG knows about it but they dont really want to admit it. My TV was only 26 months old when this happened. The four capacitors are made by Samxon and are 2200uf @ 10v. They are junk so even if you have the entire board replaced for say $200 its just going to happen again. They need to be replaced with a different brand.

Same problem described above. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I have an extended warranty through Best Buy but I'm hoping the fix is something simple.
